Improve Your Civilization in City of Wonder

City of Wonders is a new game by Playdom that tries to emulate how civilization started, speeds it up, and adds a new twist to it to make it more fun and enjoyable. This is Playdom’s new entry to Facebook’s list of hit games next to Social City, Bola, and Sorority Life.

You first start with a small village in the Stone Age where tools are made from rocks and the wheel hasn’t been invented just yet. As you play this Facebook game, your small village will grow and become a huge metropolis passing on to the Bronze Age up to the Industrial Age. However, before you can begin building structures that are powered by electricity, you must first go at it step by step.

You will begin with only dusty old huts, basic farms, and stone temples and monoliths. To unlock the next buildings, you will have to learn the specific technology needed to build it. However, you can’t just learn any technology since you must first learn its prerequisites. You begin by learning Agriculture and move to the basics. Once you have learned a particular technology, it will give new structures to be built. It will also open the pathways to more technologies which, in turn, can do the same. To get a visual idea of which technology unlocks which, you can check out the Tech Tree by clicking on the Research Tab and clicking on the View Technologies button on the upper right of any Technology icon.

Learning Technologies takes time, but by slowly learning all of the Technologies for a specific period your city will be able to enter a new era. Once you have successfully learned all of the technologies in the Stone Age, you will be awarded and congratulated for advancing to the Bronze Age!

You can continue to improve your civilization to more high-tech eras but the more advanced your civilization becomes, the harder it will be to move to the next era since you will now have more technologies to learn and they will be harder to master.

Still, with a lot of patience and hard work, you can begin to see drastic improvements to your City of Wonder. What used to be an old, dusty village is now a thriving city. What used to be stone tools now have electricity and gas. And of course the biggest achievement would be what used to be a city without the concept of the wheel now has airplanes.

Level Up Quickly in City of Wonders

City of Wonders is an exciting new Facebook game that offers players the opportunity to become overlords of their very own empire. Of course, you would have to begin from scratch but that’s what makes it fun.

City of Wonders is Playdom’s newest game on Facebook and like its predecessors it is expected to become a big hit amongst casual and hard core gamers alike. The beauty of City of Wonder comes in its overall package. You will certainly not find yourself with nothing to do in your city since there are so many things that need your attention in this game. You will never be bored since you need to tend to your farms, collect rent from the markets, add people to your city, make sure they aren’t bored, and explore other civilizations to improve your own city.
